Alpacas - They are quiet, mysterious creatures. Currently we have 5 alpacas. Three females, and two males. Ari, Eva, Rhonda, Wally and Gizmo. Each have incredibly different personalities. Ari's job is to "dress up" like a camel for Living Nativities.Eva and Rhonda will be producing Christmas Tree Farm's first crias, hopefully next year. They all take turns being part of the Big Farm Petting zoo.
Nigerian Dwarf Goats - Jersey, Nemo and Willow are the stars of the show. They can't wait to get attention from all the children. Willow is our first prospect for some kids in the spring. They have all retired from the Baby Farm, and will graduate to the Big Farm this year.
Adopt an Animal-Although we would love to, we can't keep them all. If you are interested in adopting an animal from animal craze, please contact us so that we can place you with an appropriate match.
Pot Bellied Pigs - Pigs can be affectionate and intelligent. We currently have Frank and Sophie, both pot bellied pigs. We hope to breed them in the next year or so.
Bunnies - We are currently breeding MiniLops, Lionheads, Netherland Dwarfs, Holland Lops, and Lionlops. One of my favorites is "PJ", she is cute as a button, chestnut Netherland Dwarf. If you are looking to add a bunny to your family, they get a great start here. Being handled as much as my bunnies are handled makes a very sweet, friendly, laid back, bunny. Some of them are show quality, and pedigrees can be purchased.
Chickens - Charlie, is the king of the Christmas tree Chickens. He certainly rules the roost around here. I have 2 groups of chickens, the egg - layers, and the exotics. Every breed from RI reds, Americaunas, Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, to Crested Polish, Silkies and Frizzles. I would like to cut down to only a few breeds, but I thought I would try them all out to see which ones I like best.
Ducks - Khaki Campbells are my favorite. They are a smaller, friendlier duck. But most importantly, they can lay up to 365 eggs in a year! If you are looking for eggs for eating or incubating, check in with us, we may have some.
Kittens - Occasionally, I will include a litter of kittens in the spring for the traveling farm. They love the farm life, and are great de-mousers.
